Hi. It's been a long time since I have posted here and I'm a huge slacker! Anyone intersted in taking over this community! We use to be larger and more active and actually go out ghost hunting and having fun in general but its fallen off the past few years so my activity with this forum has as well.
If there is anyone who would like to be a moderator and take over and arrange nights out and stuff please let me know. Im glad the commuinity is still around and active but I don't think I am doing it justice!
Please let me know. Thanks!

Here's an interesting topic for discussion. Now this hasn't happened to me (that I know of,) but sometimes when people are ghost hunting they report ghosts following them back to their homes or cars or such. There are several ghost hunting groups that suggest that when you are leaving the site you've been investigating, you should say things like "Don't come with us...you are not welcome to go." But what if this does not work? What if you get a tag-along despite your best efforts? Now you've brought a ghost to a place it doesn't know and you've got a hauting you prolly don't want to deal with. How would you get rid of it? How can you try to get it to back where it was...or go where it belongs? Is this when psychics and exorcisms come in? It is an interesting topic to me and one that I worry about whenever I am ghost-hunting or feel I have come in contact with a ghost. I always say "Stay here, please, you are not welcome at my house." But honestly I know that one day someone is not gunna listen...

I must say I'm new here and I'm a local. Ghosts excist here in this wonderous state. I have experienced it when I was in the hospital one night when I was walking around the lounge. I saw something rush passed by screaming. I went to a nurse and asked her if she heared someone scram. She said no.

i found this on an lj community!

"Hi all,

We've been trying to find a good home for our little kitty boy, Tux. He's a very sweet and adorable cat. AND he's neutered! Tux is only one year old. Check out our flyer with the attached link.

We've really got to find a home FAST! My wife's parents are looking to put him in a kill shelter by the first week of June! (We live with them at the moment.)

Download our flyer here! (approx. 2MB)
(Note: You need Adobe Reader to view the file.)

If you know of anyone wanting him, we can be reached at (435) 743-5544 or (435) 327-0447. Please help if you can! We'd hate to see our little boy live a short life! I've tried contacting a no-kill shelter here, but they are pretty full on kitties at the moment.

We will work out pick-up arrangements with whomever contacts us. I drive to the Provo and Salt Lake area about once per week."

And yes, he's free and worth it!

in honor of Lewis Carroll.....
Being Aquarius-influenced, I can relate to Carroll's weirdness and have always admired his. So.....I have had at least 3 dreams over the years where at the very end of the dream I see a little white bunny running over the snow and disappearing into some unseen hole in it, sometimes its a light brown bunny (I did often see them at the mouth of the canyon up the street from my parents house growing up).But it runs so fast it startles me and I wake up.
So there I was walking up the street leading straight up the narrow canyon dirt path. I had both my dogs and both my cats (one living, one deceased) with me on this walk. No one else was around and it was like early spring run off time of the year, where everything's muddy and the trees are barren sticks, but you feel fairies in the air. And I looked up to my left on the canyon wall and noticed a little hangover where a little castle made of dirt was built under the hangover, and was camouflaged as rock and dirt pieces, unless you looked closely. I realized it was a little fairy castle and wondered how I had never seen it before in all my years hiking up here. I wanted to take my pets and get a closer look, but I was transformed to being in an airplane with some school class and were flying to Chicago to see something educational. We landed on the beach, some sand, and no other humans or signs of them were around. All that happened was a bunch of us ended up waiting for a long time for our plane to come back to get us. So we sat on some large floating buoy anchored near shore and watched it start to rain really hard. it was all very fun and enjoyable, and then the 747 did land and people were slowly boarding. But most of us were still playing on the shore watching the water get wilder and stormier, very entertained. Suddenly the waves became vicious and blew over the one standing palm tree on the beach which the wave pushed so hard it fell on its side and almost washed me out to sea with it. I jumped out of the way just in time, but we were scared then realizing this was a tsunami about to happen. and we were then happy to get on the plane and fly out of it. But suddenly the plane took off with half of us still on the beach yelling at it to come back. I was especially concerned because there was a girl sitting on a bench which was tied to the wing of the plane, and it took off with her still sitting on it!! I knew she wouldnt make it very far up there. I was screaming, yelling to everyone that it had left us, and it had to come back becuase we were the majority of the flight's ticketholders. But some older women from Eastern Europe showed up with some more tickets in hand calmly telling us there would be another plane in a minute coming for them, and we could get on that one, all the while the tsunami getting much worse. I was scared and finally woke up.....without seeing the rabbit first.
[...."falling down, falling down, all over the river, falling down, falling down, falling down, wish what I'm feeling could go on like this forever, falling down, falling down, falling down....and since we're down, might as well stay, might as well fry some eggs, and wave to the shade of the peppermint tree...] Thanx Tori. Thanks Lewis..

Alice, where's Alice....
Idea from mistressprime

Cross posted all over. Help spread the word! ;)

January 27th is the birthday of Lewis Carrol, author of ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND. Alice fell down a rabbit hole into a place where everything had changed and none of the rules could be counted on to apply anymore.

I say, let's do the same: January 27th, 2005 should be the First Annual LiveJournal Rabbit Hole Day. When you post on that Thursday, instead of the normal daily life and work and news and politics, write about the strange new world you have found yourself in for the day, with its strange new life and work and news and politics.

Are your pets talking back at you now? Has your child suddenly grown to full adulthood? Does everyone at work think you're someone else now? Did Bush step down from the White House to become a pro-circuit tap-dancer? Did Zoroastrian missionaries show up on your doorstep with literature in 3-D? Have you been placed under house arrest by bizarre insectoid women wielding clubs made of lunchmeat?

Let's have a day where nobody's life makes sense anymore, where any random LJ you click on will bring you some strange new tale. Let's all fall down the Rabbit Hole for 24 hours and see what's there. It will be beautiful.

Hey all you Utahns!

The SLC Women's Rugby Team is looking for some fresh meat...er...I mean new players.
We don't care if you've never picked up a rugby ball in your life. Just come on down to Sugarhouse park Mondays and Thursdays at 5:30 and learn the game.

If your big, small, fast, slow, there are litterally positions and uses for women at every fitness level.

It's a lot of fun, and a great way to stay in shape.

If you have any questions, please comment here.

an interesting website
I don't know if this has ever been posted before, but I came across this website the other night while I was looking for something on Lily Grey's headstone. It has a bunch of places that I have actually been to, but some I haven't ever heard of before. It doesn't really say how to find the exact places on most of the things, but with a little research I'm sure anyone who wanted to could find out more...

On Friday, me, my cousin & a few of my friends are going to go to the Godfathers Pizza on Washington, which is supposedly very haunted. I guess UGHS {or some other Utah ghost research team} did an investigation there a while back too.
My cousins friends' parents own it, so we can hang out there as late as we want.
I'll try to take some pictures & I'm taking my mom's voice recorder with me.
I've been wanting to go there for a while now, so I'm excited to get to go.

I'll let you guys know if anything goes on.

Haunted Locations Update
From the Haunted locations list from the Utah Ghost Hunters Webpage...

Does anyone know for certain if the Hobbs Hollow and Resevoir area in Layton and the Cotton Wood area of the Weber River in Riverdale are still around?? I have noticed a LOT of new house construction going on down around both regions and wanted to know if I could still visit the places.

Any help would be appreciated.

Going to the Ogden Cemetary, anyone else want to come?
This Saturday, yes this coming up one me and my girlfriend are going to the Ogden Cemetary on 20th street. I recently purchased a video camera hench the trip. So if anyone is interested in joining us just show up there around 10 p.m. I'm not going to do any big planning like the other trips that fail, so just show up or don't doesn't matter either way. Oh and if you do decide to come bring a coat, has been getting chilly out as of late.
